Homemade Italian Herb Croutons

Homemade Italian Herb Croutons

Ingredients:

  • 4 Large slices (¾-inch thick) of crusty bread
  • 4 tbsp. Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. Farmer Foodie Italian Herb Cashew Parm
  • ½  tsp. Salt (or to taste)
  • ¼  tsp. Garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. Onion powder
  • ¼ tsp. Ground black pepper (or to taste)

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with compostable parchment paper.
  2. Prepare your bread: use a bread knife to slice the bread into ¾-inch thick cubes (option to gently tear the bread with your hands). You should end up with about 6 cups of cubed bread.
  3. Add the bread to the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with Farmer Foodie Italian Herb Cashew Parm, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground black pepper. Toss the bread until it’s lightly coated in oil. Arrange the bread evenly on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cooked to a desired crisp. Toss every 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the croutons from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Option to add more Cashew Parm, salt, or pepper to taste.
  6. Serve over a delicious salad or dip into hummus and enjoy!
